Funky Pirate Marine is led by Director of Operations Todd Vance, a retired Coast Guard Captain with more than 30 years of distinguished service. Captain Vance brings extensive maritime experience from a wide range of leadership roles, including Commanding Officer of four Coast Guard cutters, Private Yacht Captain, Charter Yacht Captain, Delivery Captain, and Rescue Assistance Captain on military, commercial, and privately owned vessels.

Captain Todd
A graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy, Captain Vance served aboard six ships ranging from 87-foot patrol boats to commanding the 418-foot National Security Cutter USCGC James, homeported in Charleston. Over his 30-year career, he logged more than one million nautical miles at sea. Today, he channels that experience into instructing, delivering vessels, and leading charter operations.
